On November 15th, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, MAS is organizing an annual scientific conference "Chemistry-2019". This year, the scientific conference is being held to celebrate the 70th birth anniversary of State Laureate, Doctor Banzar Dorjalam.

Dr. B. Dorjpalam was graduated Moscow State University in 1972 and started his career as a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry, MAS. During his 26 years of continuous work, he served as a Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Chemistry for 16 years. He was a talented scholar and dedicated his full devotion to the development of science and technology in Mongolia, especially in improving the theoretical level of scientific work and introducing the research results into practical use.

Many of the initiatives that have been initiated and started by Doctor B. Dorjpalam have been successfully expanded over the years. In 1993, he was first translated Mongolian Journal of Chemistry in English. This year, the Mongolian Journal of Chemistry has registered in Scopus database of publishing created by Elsevier.
