On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany, the President of Mongolia Kh. Battulga issued a decree to reward German Mongolist Udo B. Barkmann with the Polar Star.
Following a recital of the presidential decree, Chief of Staff to the President of Mongolia Z. Enkhbold presented the Order and extended his congratulations. Mr. Udo B. Berkmann said that the award is a tribute to the values and significance of the long-history of Mongolian-German study rather than the personal rewards.
