Battogtokh D., Head of Innovation Development and
Implementation Coordination Department of the Ministry of Education and Science
and Suvdantsetseg B., Head of Administration and Planning Department, of the MAS,
met with International Science Council Communications Director Alison Maston
and Management Planning Specialist Gabriel in Paris, France and exchanged views
on scientific and technical systems and cooperation.
At the meeting, the goals and measures of the reform of
the science and technology sector, implemented by the Ministry of Education and
Culture, were presented. As a result, it was decided to enlist the support of
the International Science Council and
specialized organizations that carry out the activities of the council. They
also decided to cooperate on the following issues.
First: It was decided to transfer international
experience and provide advice and support through the International Network of
Government Scientific Advisory Services (INGSA), a partner organization of the
Council, to achieve the goal of reforming the legal framework, regulation and
system of the scientific sector in Mongolia, and to ensure the coherence of
science and policy;
Second: Involve young scientists from Mongolia in the activities
of the Global Young Academy and in this context include the Association of
Young Scientists of Mongolia as members of the Academy, support the activities;
Third: Work with the methodological support of the International Science Council for the
development of open science, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary science;
Fourth, we will cooperate with the CODATA organization to
create a unified scientific system for Mongolia.
In addition, the International Science Council emphasized
Mongolia's cooperation with UNESCO and other organizations in the development
of open science and the implementation of the researchers' recommendations.
