In order to celebrate the 80th birth anniversary of the former President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Physics and Technology, MAS has today organized a scientific conference and opened a memorial board and a renovated hall for Academician B. Chadraa. The memorial event was opened by the President of MAS, Academician D. Regdel, and friends and academics who worked with B. Chadraa and his family members were attended in this event.
B. Chadraa was born in 1939 in Orooh, Murun bag of Tariat soum, Arkhangai aimag. In 1963, he graduated from Moscow State University, Russia and started his career as a researcher at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. He was a Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Director of the Institute of Physics and Technology, Director of the Institute and Renewable Energy, Director of "Monel" factory of electronics and research equipment, Director of Ulaanbaatar University and he served as President of MAS for three times.
Academician B.Chadraa's research was focused on a renewable energy, space science, nuclear physics and electronics, and he had published over 320 scientific papers in Mongolia and international journals.
