Today, MAS together with the Office of the President of Mongolia have organized a scientific symposium themed "Mongolian craftsmanship, its history and modern age" at the meeting room of MAS Presidium’s office. Academician G.Chuluunbaatar, First Vice President of MAS, has opened the symposium and following nine speakers were discussed about the history and current situations of Mongolian craftsmanship and related techniques and cultures.
The symposium was grounded on the purpose to study the Mongolian traditional craftsmanship techniques and technologies, develop and design the training materials based on traditional knowledge and techniques, promote and disseminate its history and knowledge to the public, protect and preserve the craftsmanship knowledge to the future generations. In overall, the symposium was organized under the strategic purpose of the organizers for implementing a national program on this subject.
In the symposium, speakers and participants were from different research institutes, ministry, national museum, and universities.
