One of the main
goals of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences /MAS/ is improving the scientific
and technical capabilities of our researchers, young and early career
scientists to enhance the participation of local scientists regional and
international collaborative research work. In order to foster collaborative
services as an international platform for engagement of international
collaborations and capacity building of future principal investigators the MAS
organizes training programs among young researchers.
The first event of 2021, a workshop of the international project information exchange and proposal development was successfully organized in 21-22 January 2021.
This time feature
of the event is that the researchers representing the institute were briefly presented a proposed project idea and
aim to form a team collaborator to develop proposals for inter-institutional
and interdisciplinary research projects.
23 young researchers were participating
in the training from 11 research institutes in the Mongolian Academy of
Sciences. An invited speaker was Assistant Executive Director, Secretariat Dr. Ailikun
from one of the potential supporting organizations, Alliance of International
Science Organizations (ANSO), introduced ANSO opportunities and shared her
experience of strengthening project proposals.
The organizers and participants appreciated the detailed information about the organization and the approaches reminded to write a joint research proposal, lessons learned from experienced researchers, and knowledge needed to develop research project proposals in line with her professional backgrounds.
The outcome of the
program will enhance institutional collaborations in all science disciplines
and engagement with the general public; furthermore, the involvement of MAS
researchers in international collaborative work within the region will create
significant value for your organization.
The organizers hoped the training will
make contribution to the development of regional research and cooperation in
the future.
