Botanic Garden and Research Institute of
the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Mayor`s office of Ulaanbaatar city are cooperating
on planting mini groves with 19 species of trees on the sides of Chingunjav
street in Ulaanbaatar city. The tree species included Acer ginnala, Betula,
Ulmus, Prunus armeniaca, Lilac, Rosa, Padus avium, Malus baccata, Crataegus
sanguinea, Conicera altaica, Fruticosa, Cotoneaster lucidus, Ribes diacanthum,
Spiraea flexuosa, Sorbaria sorbifolia and these grove trees illustrate a flying
wings on the street. This city decoration work has started last weekend on the
National Tree Planting Day.
Plantation is planned to do since 2019 on
the areas of loose soil, puddle areas with high rain water fall and not decorated
streets of the residential areas. These groves will be planted in 24 locations
in nest years.
