The 100th anniversary
conference of the Institute of History and Ethnology of the Mongolian Academy
of Sciences was held at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on December
13, 2021.
In 1921, the Prime Minister Bodoo D., the Minister of Internal Affairs Puntsagdorj T., Choibalsan KH., Jamyan S. and Magsarjav N. initiated the establishment of the “Institute of Scripture” in Mongolia by the resolution of the People's Government dated November 19, 1921, which is history creation of a new generation of central scientific organizations. It later expanded into the Institute of Science, the Institute of Science and Higher Education, and in 1961 was renamed the Academy of Sciences.
