The highest award of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Kublai Khan Medal, was awarded to five people

The Kublai Khan Gold Medal, the highest award of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, was awarded today to four domestic and one foreign scientist.


Specifically, academician Oyunsuren Ts., Dr.Munkhbayar Kh., professor, School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mongolian State University of Education, Batsuuri J., chairman of the Coordinating Council for Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Operation and Services, Chunag Sh., chairman of the Association of Elders of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and academician V. N. Parmon, head of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, received the award.

The Kublai Khan Gold Medal is awarded to scientists and scholars who have made a significant contribution to the development of Mongolian and world science. The MAS has a policy of awarding the prize to up to two local and two foreign citizens annually.

However, the award has not been given for the last five years, and this year it is given to 10 people on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment and development of modern scientific organizations in Mongolia and the 60th anniversary of the MAS. Last July it was given to Baatar D., GurragchaaJ., Jargalsaikhan L., Tsogtbaatar B. and I. V. Puzynin.
