On June 7, for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkey, Institute of International Affairs, Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) together with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolian Embassy in Ankara, Turkish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia-Turkish parliamentary group and Association of Turkish Alumni, ATA, have organized an international conference themed “History of a half century and development trends”. In the conference, T.Aursaikhan, Head of Mongolia-Turkish parliamentary group, D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ahmet Yazel, Ambassador, Turkish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar and D.Regdel, President of MAS, have delivered the congratulatory speeches for the diplomatic relations of two countries.

In his congratulatory speech, President D. Regdel noted that since 2004, after signed Memorandum of Understandings, Mongolian Academy of Sciences has started active collaborations with Turkish Academy of Sciences, TUBA and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkish, TUBITAK. The scientists from MAS have currently been conducting the numbers of joint research projects with TUBA and TUBITAK in several research fields including geology, astronomy, literature, history and archeology.
Last year, in 2018, MAS Academician L.Bold was awarded a prestigious award in Social Sciences by Turkish Academy of Sciences and the award was given to L.Bold by Turkish President T.Erdagon.
