The Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, MAS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with "Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi" LLC. The parties will be cooperating in development of processing of the Tavan Tolgoi coal deposit to produce the final products, and further establishment and development of the Coke-chemical factory in Mongolia.
Within the memorandum, the scientists and researchers of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology will perform the advanced researches on the properties of raw coals and the coke. And, the researchers will also analyze the processing of the used raw coal, unbalanced coal, concentrates and coking coals in addition to focusing on the processing of tar coke, methane from coal seam and the production of synthetic gas and liquefied natural gas.
