Taipei Trade and Economic Representative in Ulaanbaatar, Mrs. Grace Lo has visited the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) and met with representatives of the MAS to discuss about scientific cooperation between Mongolia and Taiwan.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the planned joint exhibition of the MAS and the National Palace Museum of Taiwan was canceled.

Nonetheless, National Palace Museum of Taiwan has published a catalog of the collection of Qing Dynasty religious studies titled “The Khubilghan” dedicated to this exhibition.

During the meeting, copies of the catalog were presented to the President of the MAS, D. Regdel. The catalog includes all the exhibits of the National Palace Museum from the period of Qing Dynasty.

For the opening ceremony of the exhibition the National Palace Museum and Ulaanbaatar Trade and Economic Representative office in Taipei have organized a culture days in Taiwan. The culture days event included a dance drama composed under the name of the "Chinggis Khaan" and a promoting exhibition of Mongol-Ger /yurt/ exhibits.

MAS President D. Regdel said: “Our countries have been cooperating in the field of science for many years. We should thank the National Palace Museum for the extensive organization of such a large-scale exhibition. I also appreciate the initiative efforts from the representative office, which co-organized this exhibition and supports to keep high-level cooperation between the two countries."

We wish to ask the Representative office to give especial attention to coordinate on finalization of a catalog, which is a product of joint research work between the MAS and the National Palace Museum established by MOU in 2018. This catalog will be published in Chinese, English and Mongolian.
