The honorary conference of the Mongolian Academy of Medical
Sciences was held on June 14, 2021.
During the ceremony, the winner of the highest award of the Mongolian Academy of Medical Sciences, “Academician P.Nyamdavaa gold medal” was announced. The academy decided to award the prize every two years and awarded the first prize to Munkhbat Batmunkh, a researcher, doctor of medical sciences and professor.
In awarding the “Academician P.Nyamdavaa gold medal”, the highest award
of the Mongolian Academy of Medical Sciences, the researcher's work was
evaluated and the index of citations was emphasized. The contribution of a
country's scientific institutions and scientists to world science is measured
by the number of articles published in reputable international journals and
citations to them. The contribution of Mongolian medical researchers to world
medicine is evaluated by the same criteria.
The award is accompanied by 5,000,000 MNT and a 19-volume collection of works by academician P.Nyamdavaa.
