Industry leaders are meeting to discuss science and
technology sector reform and major tasks for 2022.
In his opening remarks, Enkh-Amgalan L., Minister of Education and Science, said: The Ministry of Education and Science has been gradually implementing policies and decisions to shift the focus of social development to a competitive and regular financing system, and to establish integrated, specialized and open laboratories to improve the sector's competitiveness.

Government
Resolution No. 24 re-approved the composition of the Nuclear Energy Commission.
The composition of the “National Council for Science and
Technology” has been updated and conditions have been created for the
implementation of its statutory functions.
Government Resolution No. 377 of 2021 decided to reorganize
the Education Department of the aimag and the capital city into the “Education
and Science Department” and laid the foundation for the implementation of laws
and policies to develop science and technology at the local level, and to
combine science-training and research-production.
The decision to increase the budget of 94 billion MNT for
the construction of a complex of research institutes by 48 billion to 142
billion was approved.
IN THE FIELD OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION IN 2022
Improve and update the legal environment and reform the
financing system for science, technology and innovation.
Improve human resource capacity, which is a valuable capital
of the science sector, improve working conditions, support the salaries and
social issues of the sector staff, ensure coordination of research work, and
improve practical results.
The Minister plans to focus on five key areas, including the development of soft and hard infrastructure in the sector, and stressed the importance of valuable suggestions, initiatives, advice and support from scientists in implementing these policies, programs and activities.
