Since 2016, on March 14, Institute of Physics and
Technology (IPT) has been celebrating “Pi
(Greek letter “π”) Day” in order to promote the youth’s interest in mathematics
and recite the infinite digits of Pi which is approximately 3.14159. On Pi Day, IPT
delivers open seminars and lectures for the students from the university and
schools and organizes math competitions for young researchers and students.
This
year, the researchers from IPT have delivered four interesting lectures on Pi
digit to the students and researchers from Mongolian State University of
Education and Mongolian University of Science and Technology. Young researchers
have also actively participated in the organized math competitions.
