In order to encourage the scientists and researchers, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences has re-established the prizes of "Top Scientist" and "Best Young Researcher" of the year after eleven years.
This year, 12 researchers from six research institutes have been nominated for these two nominations.
Doctor G. Sevjidsuren, a project leader at the Institute of Physics and Technology (IPT) was selected as Top Scientist of the year 2019. Dr. Sevjidsuren has been working at the IPT for 25 years. She is currently a project leader on Material Science sector.
Doctor Ts. Zolzaya, a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology (ICCT) was awarded as The Best Young Researcher of the year 2019. Dr. Zolzaya obtained her PhD degree in 2019 and she has worked at ICCT for 11 years on material science field.
