The international conference on Altai studies was organized on the
topic " Communality and Mutual Influence of Language and Civilization in
the Altaic World."
The organizers believe that this first conference in the history of Mongolian science will have a definite impact on the study of the history, culture and language of Mongolia, which has an important position among the Altai languages.
It has been a long time since the Permanent International Altaistic Conference (PIAC) was convened, which brought together scientists from all over the world studying the language, history and civilization of the Altaic World. Due to various circumstances, the representatives of our country could not actively participate in this conference. However, the organizers of the 62nd conference in Germany personally came to Mongolia and invited Mongolian scientists to take part in the conference, in which academicians Bold L. and Dr. Batdorj Ts. took part. As a result of the conference, at the request of the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Academician Regdel D. and the Secretary General of the International Association of Mongolian Studies, Academician Chuluun S., it was decided to hold the 63rd conference in Mongolia. The conference, scheduled for last year has been postponed to 2021 due to the worldwide pandemic situation. However, as the situation did not improve, the meeting was held online from the 26th to the 28th of the last month. The conference was attended by about 50 scientists from 20 countries of the world.
