The
exhibition on "Sardagiin Hiid", an ancient fine art palace of Ondor
Gegeen Zanabazar, has created by the Institute of History and Ethnography, Mongolian
Academy of Sciences (MAS), and will be opened at National Museum of Mongolia on Friday,
September 27th. The national
research team led by Academician S. Chuluun, director of Institute of History
and Ethnology, MAS, has conducted a field excavation studies at Sardagiin Hiid monastery
for six years from 2013 and to 2018. As a result of the research project, a
number of fossils were found in the monastery including about 3,000 of the five
goddesses, and a large god of mud, 10 pieces, a large number of deities,
pottery, and the synthetic items. During
the exhibition, the Green Dharma, one of the artifacts discovered at Sardagiin
Hiid will be placed at the exhibition hall. The Green Dharma is considered as a
uniquely distinguished artifact by Ondor Gegeen Zanabazar. The
exhibition will be open on Fridays of September 27th, October 4th,
November 15th and December 18th.
