The scientific conference of the MONGOLIAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), was successfully held on November 18-19.

The conference
was opened by Davaasambuu J.,
Director of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the MAS, President of the Mongolian Physical Society, Academician Avid B., Secretary Generel of the MAS, and Baatar Ts., Leading
Researcher of the Institute of Physics and Technology, made a presentation on
the topic "Development of Mongolian Physical Science".
The conference included laser physics, theoretical and high
energy physics, materials science and biophysics and included over 60 oral and
wall presentations. A feature of this year's conference was that in addition to
foreign participants, there were many Mongolian scientists who work in
scientific organizations of highly developed countries.
Also, young researchers and doctors made
presentations. Badmaarag A., a researcher at the Neutron Physics Laboratory of
the JINR in Dubna, Russia, and Unurbileg D., a researcher at the Institute of
Metrology, were selected and received the
Best Presentation Award from the Mongolian Physical Society.
