By the way, our country established diplomatic
relations with Egypt in 1963. In 1967, Anwar Sadat, then Vice President and
Speaker of Parliament and later President of Egypt, visited Mongolia. Anwar
Sadat is the first high-ranking representative from Egypt and the Arab world to
visit Mongolia. Diplomatic relations between the two countries have been
dominated by political relations, with the highest-level visit from Mongolia in
2004 by Mongolian President Bagabandi N. to Egypt.
